Samonas Traditional Villas – Blue villa – Mantzourana
On the structure
All our Villas are two-storey (maisonettes) with unlimited view to the mountains, valley and the sea. They are exclusively built in stone and wood to match their surroundings. Each apartment is built at a different level due to the ground’s steep slope with some common areas (pool, barbecue, gym, café), as well as private courtyards, verandas, or balconies and quiet corners. Some homes have even access to the roof terrace (roof garden).
All homes have big wooden main entrances with traditional rustic locks and big iron keys. They are decorated with many small folklore objects and antiques. All incorporate the same comforts and luxury, although they differ in size and layout.
A private house with big courtyards, gardens and nice view is also bookable at Stylos – Provarma, just 4km before Samonas.
Blue villa – Mantzourana
One double bedroom maisonette of 55 m2 which may accommodate up to 3 persons. Its areas are made up of four deferent levels. It comprises a balcony and one covered veranda. It is dated since the end of 1800, while in the past served as a store room for grains, oil, and wine. One of its areas was part of the wine press which does not exist now.
*Mantzourana – Marjoram
Plant reaching 30-60 cm with small oval leaves and white-pink flowers. We use the entire plant without the root. It helps in the battle against nervousness, anxiety, insomnia and headache. It is used against flatulence and respiratory problems. It has stimulant and anticonvulsant properties.
